What are we suppose to answer?
During the time of the Revolution war many British English words were changed a letter here and a letter there. Webster had a hand at this when he did the Dictionary. Americans wanted to be different from the British and did not want to have anything to do with them. That is also why the British use the metric system and us americans don't.
And the question is?
"During the time of the Revolution war .....etc....... and did not want to have anything to do with them. That is also why the British use the metric system and us americans don't. "
Who says the Yanks don't have a proper understanding of the rest of the world or even their own history? I'm just off to convert my odometer to metric and repaint all the speed signs in km/h. Is it true that in America everyone down South lives on plantations or in a caravan and everyone up North is a mobster?
